AbbyMy girlfriend Becca and I were looking to adopt a dog and got in contact with Connie. I asked Connie what puppies she had available and she presented us with three options. One of the pups she spoke about was small and cute. Becca and I drove to meet Connie on a Sunday evening, when we arrived, Connie referred to the pup as "love" so we could provide her with a name if we adopted her. Right away, Becca and I knew that this small black lab/pointer had to be ours! We quickly agreed to adopt her and named her Abby. Abby is growing and meeting new people everyday. She is energetic, happy, sweet and loves the ample amounts of attention she receives everyday! We take Abby everywhere we go as she is part of our family and we couldn't be happier! ~ Steve N. MaggieMeet Maggie, formerly Easy. Easy was rescued by C.C. Strays from a high kill shelter in South Carolina and brought to Maine in February of this year. After just a few weeks of being here at CC strays, a family decided to come and meet Ms. Easy. At the home visit it was clear their 6 year old pitbull was not sure how to handle a new dog in the home so we took him along with Easy to our kennels and worked on getting him to accept her as a friend. After just a few days we returned both dogs into the home where Easy, now renamed Maggie is living a loving life with her new family. Her new mom and dad just absolutely adore her. She is a loving dog, wonderful with their children, and just absolutely loves getting her belly rubbed.
"When we met Connie I just knew I wanted to adopt a dog from her. She pours all her time and energy into helping these beautiful animals and you can tell she really loves each and everyone of them. Once we met Easy we knew she would be perfect in our home. Connie, out of the goodness of her heart, worked with our older dog so that he would learn some social skills with other dogs. A lot of rescues would not have been able to do that. We really were and are forever greatful towards Connie because she brought our Mags into our life. Maggie has already brought so much happiness. She will do anything for a belly rub, loves to lay in your lap, and is a huge bed hog. She's loving with my children and content to lay at our feet. Thank you C.C. Strays for bringing this beautiful girl into our lives!" ~ Lindsay W. |
